Using Basecards

Basecards is a platform that helps creators connect with their audience. “Basecards,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Basecards and the services we offer through our website. By accessing and using the Basecards website, you agree to follow our Terms and Conditions and other relevant guidelines, like our Privacy Policy. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with these terms, as they outline what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. If anything is unclear, feel free to reach out with questions. For details on how we manage your information, please check our Privacy Policy.

Your Account

When signing up for Basecards, it’s important that the information you provide is accurate and kept up-to-date. To create an account, you must be at least 13 years old and legally able to consent to the handling of your personal data in your country. If you’re under 18, you’ll need permission from a parent or legal guardian to manage a Basecard.

You’re responsible for any activity that happens through your account, so keep it secure. If you suspect your account has been compromised, let us know right away at [email protected].

Proper Conduct

If you break our rules or engage in harmful behavior, we may have to deactivate your account. Avoid doing anything illegal, abusive, or misusing Basecards in ways it wasn’t meant for.

We take the safety and integrity of our community seriously. If you find a way to harm Basecards or our users that isn’t explicitly covered by these terms, we reserve the right to take appropriate action.

Owning a Basecard

When you create a Basecard, you create a platform where your supporter’s contributions can be recognized and rewarded. Basecards has clear guidelines about what content is allowed on the platform. Here’s a quick overview:

We may occasionally introduce or test new features. Access to these experimental features isn’t guaranteed and may change at our discretion.

Lastly, if you’re handling any user data, you must do so responsibly. Keeping this data secure is part of your agreement with us.

Enforcing Guidelines

To keep Basecards a safe and positive space, we occasionally review content and investigate any proper conduct violations. These reviews can take time and may extend beyond the platform, especially if there are serious concerns.

In most cases, we aim to work with users to resolve issues so they can continue using Basecards. However, if necessary, we may deactivate accounts to protect our community, though we don’t take this decision lightly.

If you notice content that may violate our guidelines, please report it to us at [email protected]. We rely on community feedback to help maintain the integrity of Basecards.

Account Deletion

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Basecards account at any time, for any reason, at our discretion. We may also remove any content, including descriptions, posts, or offerings, as we see fit.

If we suspend or terminate someone else’s account, you cannot hold us liable or take legal action against us for that decision. If you do attempt such action, you’ll be responsible for covering any resulting damages, including legal fees.

These terms continue to apply even if your account is deactivated or terminated.

Content Ownership and Licensing

As a Basecard owner, you retain full ownership of your creations, and users retain ownership of what they post. However, to operate Basecards effectively, we need certain rights to use this content. By sharing your creations or posting on Basecards, you grant us a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, store, distribute, and display your content worldwide in all formats. This license is necessary for us to host your content and enable community features like comments.

It’s important to note that this license does not mean we’re taking ownership of your intellectual property. You still own your creations, and we will never exploit them beyond what is necessary to provide and improve Basecards services.

Please ensure that your content doesn’t infringe on anyone else’s rights. Basecards reserves the right to remove any content that violates our terms or policies.

Users are not allowed to use or share a Basecard’s content in ways that aren’t authorized by the owner. Content shared through Basecards should only be accessible to those who have the appropriate permissions.

Indemnity

You agree to protect and compensate us for any losses or liabilities, including legal fees, that arise from your use of Basecards or your violation of these terms. If a claim is made against us related to your actions, we reserve the right to take control of our defense. Should this happen, you agree to assist us in defending against the claim.

Warranty Disclaimer

Basecards is provided “as is,” without any warranties of any kind. We do not offer guarantees of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or any other type of warranty, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law. These disclaimers also apply to our subsidiaries, affiliates, and third-party service providers.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Basecards is not liable for any incidental, consequential, or punitive damages that arise from these terms or your use (or attempted use) of the platform. Our liability for any damages is limited to the amount we have earned from your use of Basecards.

We are not responsible for any losses related to unfulfilled content or benefits, or for conflicts with other agreements you may have. In this clause, “we” and “our” include our subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and third-party service providers.

Entire Agreement

These terms, along with any referenced policies, constitute the complete agreement between you and Basecards, replacing any prior agreements. This agreement does not create any partnership, joint venture, employer-employee, or franchiser-franchisee relationship between us.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part will be adjusted to make it enforceable, or removed if necessary, without affecting the remaining terms. Failure by either party to enforce any right under these terms does not waive the right to enforce it in the future.

We may occasionally update these terms. If we make a significant change, we’ll notify you before it takes effect. By continuing to use Basecards after the changes, you agree to the updated terms.
